All together, we are growing up our young people, proud & strong.

ABOUT US

Nalderun is the Djaara word for All Together. Together with the broader community we are growing our young people strong and proud through connection to Community, Country, and Culture.

Nalderun’s vision is to walk together as equals towards a future where local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are connected to Country and Culture, and are strong, proud, and empowered. At the core of our programs is a commitment to our kids and creating a deadly future that supports them to thrive.

Me-Mandook Galk Bush Tucker Place is a First Nations youth-led enterprise of Nalderun. We sow and grow a variety of bush tucker plants that are suited to grow on Djaara Country.

With the support of many community supporters from near and far, in 2021 Nalderun bought back the land next to Me-Mandook Galk, the site of the incredible Grandmother Ancestor tree in Chewton.

All proceeds from beanie sales go directly back into our youth programs.

Incense Cones

Bring in the aromas of the bush by burning with intention and respect, cleansing and realigning the energy in your space with the vibration of Country. Ingredients are all native to Australia, many grown and harvested with intention and care on Djaara Country by First Nations Youth at Me-Mandook Galk Bushtucker Place. Carefully light the tip of the incense cone and place on a heat proof dish to smoulder.

Our incense is sold in a set of 5 cones, on a clay dish made from clay foraged from earthworks on the land where we work. The dish is then glazed with hand made ash glaze created from our campfires and finally wrapped in a silk cloth which we’ve dyed naturally with leaves from various species of eucalypt and other local plants.
